Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will play a critical role in steering our organization towards achieving its strategic goals. Reporting directly to the owner, the COO will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of our quarterly business plans while overseeing daily operations to meet our growth, revenue, and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the firm's business strategies to achieve quarterly revenue and profitability targets.
- Supervise and evaluate non-lawyer support staff and vendors, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and performance assessments.
- Maintain oversight of company policies and procedures to ensure they are well-documented and systematically audited.
- Collaborate closely with the bookkeeping team to analyze monthly financial reports and guide tax planning initiatives.
- Manage diverse team configurations, including in-person, remote, and hybrid staff.
- Ensure a secure and operational digital environment is maintained for all team members.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to mitigate risks within the organization.
- Design and manage projects by collaborating with process owners and adhering to established timelines.
- Cultivate a positive workplace culture that encourages talent retention and attracts high-caliber candidates.

Qualifications
- A degree in management, business administration, human resources, or a relevant field is required.
- Extensive experience managing a professional services firm or a division of a mid-sized or large firm with an annual budget between \(9 million and \)25 million.
- Familiarity with ScalingUp methodologies is advantageous.
- Credibility through SHRM or HRCI certifications is a plus.
