The Director of Sales Operations will be responsible for all sales operations, systems, and enablement and will ensure the sales team operates efficiently and effectively. They will address gaps in the current sales structure and will provide the sales team with tools, processes, and systems to drive high performance.
The Director will focus on sales analytics, forecasting, territory management, and the maintenance of CRM and sales tools to support revenue growth and operational efficiency. They will also oversee sales performance tracking, goal setting, and compensation structures. The Director will be responsible for the coordination, planning and launch of new markets and products.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a Metrics-Driven Mindset: This individual will possess a deep understanding of KPIs such as conversion rates, sales cycle length, and average deal size. They will have the ability to analyze and interpret sales data to identify inefficiencies and develop actionable insights. They must be adept at leveraging data to track team performance, forecast revenue, and refine sales strategies.
This role requires a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution to optimize sales operations and improve team productivity. Candidates should be prepared to showcase examples of data-driven improvements they have led in previous roles.
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales operations or related fields, with experience managing sales teams and sales operations.
- Experience with physical product sales, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment or one involving logistics and shipping.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
- Proven ability to lead and implement sales operations strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
- Experience with sales forecasting, performance tracking, goal setting and territory management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
