Pay Range: $66,227 - $83,491 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Oversee the annual operating budgets of three departments; analyze revenue projections and monitor expenditures.
Reconcile budgets and expenses via invoices, P-Cards, purchase orders, etc.
Issue requisitions for purchases.
Maintain PO/blanket balances and renewals.
Process accounts receivable.
Prepare regular financial reports for management; identify variances and other budget issues and concerns.
Develop and forecast performance metrics and trending indicators.
Recommend opportunities for streamlining and improving operational efficiency.
Provide financial training to staff.
Facilitate the annual development of department budgets.
Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
Manage administrative office functions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree 5-7 years related experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or similar field of study
8-10 years experience in purchasing, finance, accounting, budgeting and/or auditing for a municipality

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficient skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Proficient skill in utilizing budgeting, financial and third-party reporting software
Ability to work independently and prioritize time-sensitive assignments to meet critical deadlines
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive matters or issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Class C Texas driver's license

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
