My firm is recruiting for a CFO role for a boutique architectural design firm that has been operating in Washington DC for over 40 years. Our client is a well-known industry firm with clients around the globe. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, strategic financial planning/budgeting, overseeing financial reporting, assisting with RFP’s, managing financial/IT systems, and interface with their external CPA firm.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee monthly financial cycle including financial reporting, billing and accounts payable.
Oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting package
Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Assist with RFP proposals and pricing
Interface with external IT consultants as necessary to support internal financial systems (Deltek Vantagepoint)
Oversee accounting staff to ensure that they meet expected deadlines

Position Requirements:

BS – Accounting or Finance required
CPA or MBA preferred
15-20+ years progressively responsible experience
Must have professional services industry experience
Must have project-based accounting experience
Position requires strong leadership and communications skills
Ability to operated effectively in a small entrepreneurial global firm
