We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our organization as a Chief Sales Officer. As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving the company’s sales strategy and execution. The CSO will oversee all aspects of sales, including business development, strategic partnerships, and client relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize key growth areas, including new markets, verticals, and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue goals and forecast sales performance.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing sales team, including regional and enterprise sales representatives.
- Establish clear performance metrics and ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to drive brand visibility and Optimize sales processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales tactics.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless alignment across the customer journey.
- Take full ownership of the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention to drive recurring revenue growth.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture that emphasizes professional development.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts.
- Complete other assigned duties as requested.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset and a drive for results
- Able to travel for work.
Experience & Education
- 10+ years in high-level sales, working in dynamic business environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred) or commensurate experience.
- Proven track record as a senior sales leader, preferably as a CSO, VP of Sales, or similar role in the payment processing, SaaS, or fintech industry.
- Deep understanding of payment processing, SaaS business models, and enterprise-level sales cycles.
- Demonstrated success in scaling sales organizations and achieving revenue growth in competitive markets.
- Expertise in using CRM and Sales tools like Salesforce and SugarCRM.
