Herc Rentals is committed to driving efficiency in our operations and is launching a key initiative to support the safety and prevent hazards for our mobile workforce in North America. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Operations Manager to lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of this vital program.
This position will be responsible for developing, rolling out, and managing the initiative. This role involves collaborating with various departments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and continuously improving the program to meet the needs of our employees.
The focus will be on project implementation, change management, and continuous reinforcement to ensure successful adoption and integration across our operations.
Project Rollout and Implementation:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the hardware and technology solution
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure timely and successful rollouts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with operational needs
Operational Ownership of Technology:
- Coordination and management of hardware and technology deployment, collaborating with the Fleet and Information Technology teams
- Ensure all devices and systems are effectively integrated into daily operations
- Manage day-to-day support of application
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to standardize technology deployment and usage
- Ensure all policies and procedures are documented, communicated, and adhered to by the team
- Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in technology and operational practices
Change Management and Reinforcement:
- Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions
- Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders and provide ongoing support
- Reinforce new processes and technologies through continuous training and feedback loops
Training and Education:
- Train staff on the use and benefits of the technology, focusing on operational impact
- Create and deliver training materials and sessions to ensure effective adoption and utilization
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the performance and usage of hardware and systems within operations
- Generate regular reports on key metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with representatives and other vendors to ensure timely support and updates
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the use of technology
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure all implementations comply with relevant regulations and security standards
- Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and security
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the functionality and efficiency of solutions
- Stay updated on the latest features and industry trends to drive operational innovation
Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Develop and execute strategies to promote and sell hardware and technology solutions to customers
- Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the value of our technology
- Provide pre-sales support, including product demonstrations and technical consultations
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field
- Strong operational and project management skills. PMP certification preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in managing large-scale projects/implementing hardware and technology solutions
- Passion for technology as a solution
- Appreciation and understanding of worker safety
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and change management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000
