We’re working with a privately owned business who are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded finance leader to step into the CFO role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leader who is ready to take the step into their first CFO position.
Equally, it will appeal to an experienced CFO who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with owners and the CEO, and having genuine influence over the direction and performance of a business.
The owners are driven, ambitious and outcome focused. They operate at pace and are looking for someone who brings energy, accountability, commercial thinking and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Position
Reporting to the CEO, you will take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in strengthening the financial and commercial capability of the business.
This is a broad and influential role, encompassing financial reporting, controls and governance, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow and working capital, as well as management reporting and commercial analysis.
A key focus will be improving the quality and usefulness of financial information, developing meaningful KPIs and dashboards, and providing the CEO, owners and leadership team with the insight they need to make better decisions.
You will also have the opportunity to lead improvements across systems, technology, data and automation, while driving greater accountability and performance across the finance function.
Profile
We are seeking a CA/CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting and financial management capability, coupled with sound commercial judgement.
Importantly, this role is about more than producing the numbers. We are looking for someone who can understand what the numbers mean, challenge the business and turn financial information into meaningful commercial insight.
You may be a high-calibre Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leader ready to make the move into your first CFO role, or an experienced CFO looking for a hands-on position where you can have genuine influence.
You will be comfortable operating at pace, taking ownership and working through issues logically. You’ll bring strong communication skills, good energy, resilience and a genuine desire to make a difference.
