Overview
A private equity-backed, multi-location professional services platform is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to partner with executive leadership and investors in driving growth, integration, and value creation.
This role requires a hands-on, execution-oriented leader who has operated within a roll-up environment and understands the pace, complexity, and accountability that comes with scaling through acquisition. The CFO will lead financial strategy while building the infrastructure necessary to support continued expansion across multiple entities and practice groups.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead financial strategy in alignment with private equity sponsors and executive leadership
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance visibility across a multi-entity platform
• Oversee all accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, speed, and scalability
• Partner on acquisition strategy, including financial diligence, integration, and post-close performance tracking
• Build and standardize reporting across locations and practice groups to create consistency and transparency
• Establish and enforce KPIs tied to revenue growth, utilization, margins, and cash flow
• Lead integration of acquired businesses, including systems, processes, and reporting structures
• Enhance internal controls and financial infrastructure to support a high-growth environment
• Serve as a key voice in strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and operational improvement
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA strongly preferred
• 10 plus years of progressive leadership experience in finance and accounting
Critical Experience Requirements
• Prior experience as a senior finance leader within a private equity-backed environment is a must.
• Demonstrated success operating within a roll-up strategy, including acquisition integration and multi-entity consolidation mandatory requirement.
• Experience supporting multi-location professional services organizations and or practice group structures
• Proven track record in organizations with 150 million plus in revenue and complex reporting environments
Technical and Leadership Capabilities
• Deep expertise in financial reporting, consolidations, and month-end close across multiple entities
• Experience building scalable finance infrastructure in a high-growth or acquisitive environment
• Strong command of KPIs tied to utilization, revenue per professional, and margin optimization
• Proven ability to lead and upgrade teams in a performance-driven culture
• Advanced Excel and accounting systems proficiency
• Highly analytical with a bias toward action and execution
