The Opportunity
The
Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and financial direction to our customer first organization. We are looking for a firsthand executive with a proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. The successful incumbent will lead the organization through its ambitious growth goals, has a bias for taking initiative and action, and will play an active role in positioning us for the future.
What You’ll Be Involved In
- Lead the Finance organization developing a strong culture and high operating standards and provide direction for budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for the Executive team; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
- Manage budgeting and the implementation of budgets, monitor progress and present operational metrics.
- Monitor operating costs, identify areas for cost efficiency and implement innovative solutions.
- Develop plans forward for revenue growth and optimization.
- Create procedures, controls, and systems to collect and provide the necessary financial data in accordance with company standard.
- Engage in and take lead in M&A – related initiatives, managing the acquisition and integration processes.
- Oversee all facets of tax planning and management ensuring compliance on all global tax filings.
- Function as the company representative in managing the relationships with external banks, financial institutions, and other parties.
- Lead the IT department, ensuring technology strategy and security align with business and financial objectives. Oversee IT budget, investment decisions, and risk management.
- Other strategic projects including system implementations as decided by the company.
What You’ll Bring To Maropost
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Added MBA is an asset.
- 12 + years of experience in a senior finance role with a minimum of 8 years' experience as CFO
- Prior B2B SaaS experience, E-commerce (marketing and retail) in multi-million-dollar; multi-product global organizations is a prerequisite for this role. A customer first mentality combined with the ability to develop successful teams.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with a keen focus on details and accuracy.
- Proven records of partnership in business financing (equity, debt, etc.)
- Ability to align key stakeholders toward a common goal, drive results and facilitate change.
- Advance proficiency in financial software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
