Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations and ensure long-term fiscal sustainability. This executive role is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle, accounting, and payroll, all while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and aligning financial strategies with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in healthcare finance or a related industry and a proven ability to drive financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership to enhance operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, revenue cycle, payroll, and accounting functions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and federal/state financial regulations
- Develop and implement policies to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, board members, and key stakeholders
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- CPA, CMA, or FHFMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in healthcare finance
- Experience managing financial operations in a Critical Access Hospital or similar setting is a plus
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and healthcare reimbursement models
- Exceptional strategic planning, leadership, and communication skills
