Position Overview
As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), you will be responsible for building and leading a world-class sales and distribution framework, driving AUM growth through strategic partnerships, private wealth channels, and institutional investor relations. You will oversee Regional Managers, Wealth Managers, and Relationship Managers, ensuring a high-conversion, data-driven sales process.
This role requires a highly experienced, well-networked leader who has successfully built and scaled sales teams in investment management, private banking, or wealth advisory.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & AUM Growth
- Develop and execute a global sales strategy.
- Build a high-performance sales culture, focusing on HNW & institutional investor acquisition.
- Oversee and expand a team of Relationship Managers, Wealth Managers, and Institutional Sales Leaders.
- Drive high-value client relationships through private banking networks, family offices, and institutional channels.
- Ensure a data-driven approach to sales, refining processes based on conversion analytics & investor behaviour.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Establish strategic partnerships with private banks, wealth management firms, and financial intermediaries.
- Develop an elite referral network through industry leaders, advisors, and private wealth syndicates.
- Drive expansion into key HNW & UHNW markets, including UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
- Lead investor onboarding events, private investor briefings, and VIP wealth networking sessions.
Sales Operations & System Implementation
- Implement a scalable sales & CRM system, optimising lead conversion and retention.
- Establish structured sales KPIs & performance tracking to enhance productivity.
- Work closely with Marketing & Product teams to refine positioning, branding, and outreach.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in AUM acquisition, investment sales, or private wealth distribution.
- Proven track record of scaling AUM for an investment management firm or wealth advisory platform.
- Strong industry reputation & relationships with HNWIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, and Institutional Investors.
- Experience leading, scaling, and optimising high-performance sales teams.
- Deep understanding of fund structuring, regulatory requirements, and investor preferences.
- Exceptional ability to negotiate, communicate, and build trust with elite investors.
- CFA / CAIA / CFP / MBA (Finance or Wealth Management) preferred.
- Experience in multi-jurisdictional investment structures and regulatory frameworks.
- Background in structured finance, private equity, or hedge fund sales is a plus.
Compensation
This is a founding team role with a great C Suite team, offering significant equity (3.5%), with pay kicking in post-funding raise(March). If you're a fintech-savvy person who can build scalable trading & investment sales structure while working in a fast-moving startup, we want you!
