Fractional CFO
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide high-level financial strategy, oversight, and leadership on a part-time or contract basis. The ideal candidate will work closely with executive teams to optimize financial performance, manage risk, and drive sustainable growth. This role is perfect for a seasoned finance professional who enjoys working with multiple clients and delivering strategic financial guidance without the commitment of a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support business goals and scalability.
- Provide insights on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advise on capital allocation, fundraising, and investment decisions.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis.
- Develop and maintain key financial metrics to assess company performance.
- Create financial models to support business decision-making and long-term planning.
Operational Finance & Optimization
- Implement cost control measures and improve financial efficiency.
- Guide pricing strategies, revenue recognition, and margin optimization.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and reporting structures.
Stakeholder Communication & Advisory
- Act as a strategic advisor to CEOs, founders, and executive teams.
- Prepare and present financial reports to investors, board members, and key stakeholders.
- Assist in fundraising efforts, including investor relations and pitch preparation.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Develop internal controls to protect financial assets and reduce risk exposure.
- Oversee audits, tax planning, and legal compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of senior-level financial leadership experience.
- Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial executive.
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modeling.
- Experience working with startups, growth-stage companies, or private equity-backed firms is a plus.
- Ability to work remotely and manage multiple clients effectively.

- Expertise in financial systems, ERP tools, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Hands-on experience with mergers & acquisitions, fundraising, and exit strategies.

Compensation & Engagement
- This is a fractional (part-time, contract-based) role. Compensation will be structured based on the scope of engagement, client needs, and level of experience
