JOB TITLE: Sales Operations Manager
LOCATION: NYC, Hybrid
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The responsibilities of the Sales Operations Manager include leading the process of forecasting and planning, budget control, allocations, and reporting. This role is responsible for creating, planning, analyzing, and reporting all sales information as well as the creation and implementation of all sales-related budgets. This role establishes and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external partners including Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain. This position leads by example and is accountable for developing the Sales Operations process and team to drive results throughout all channels of sales and marketing functions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, forecast, and control budgets
- Create strategies for meeting sales goals for all channels based on door counts,
- productivity levels, and category assortment/opportunities
- Manage the analysis of financial results of each distribution channel and reforecasting based on trends and results
- Partner with marketing and sales to establish sales plans for new product launches and
ensure net shipment plan is properly implemented
- Partner with Operations to account for channel returns by analyzing the assortment and
shipment/sales trends
- Responsible for reconciling PO’s against sales forecast
- Responsible for the coordination and distribution of all sales related information i.e. retail sales reporting, net sales, product sales, budgets
- Responsible for troubleshooting with retailers when PO’s do not match forecasts
- Partner with Sales and act as a key contributor in the “open to buy” process by reviewing the roll up accuracy and alignment prior to forwarding the plans to Finance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 4 years experience in CPG
- Proactively identify business issues and develop creative solutions
- Able to analyze and interpret information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Very strong organizational skills
- Able to manage and develop a team overseeing many different areas of responsibility
- Able to communicate and work with field executives
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
