Player 15 Group is seeking an experienced and strategic
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations and drive the organization’s long-term success. As a senior executive, this role will oversee all financial functions, including strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team across financial analysis, accounting, and payroll, ensuring fiscal integrity and operational excellence.

What You Will Do
- Partner with executives, ownership and stakeholders to develop long-term financial strategies, aligning capital, resources and staffing plans with the company’s vision.
- Drive financial performance by analyzing results, implementing corrective actions and proactively mitigating variances to ensure stability and growth.
- Effectively communicate financial performance to owners, executives, and stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow management by monitoring inflows and outflows, analyzing financial statements, and employing strategic initiatives to optimize liquidity and operational excellence.
- Establish and apply financial policies and procedures to enhance cost efficiency, mitigate risks and ensure fiscal discipline across the organization.
- Lead contract negotiations and vendor management to enrich profitability, maintain cash flow stability, and strengthen vendor and partner relationships.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities to safeguard assets, improve growth strategies, and drive long-term financial stability.
- Design and implement comprehensive tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position, ensuring efficiency and compliance, while overseeing the accurate preparation and timely filing of all income tax return.
- Lead the preparation and review of accurate, timely financial statements, analyses, and reports to provide strategic insights and support informed decision-making across the organization.
What We Need From Our Chief Financial Officer
- Ability to organize and communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Experience building a team and culture focused on collaboration, accountability, teamwork and coaching.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial regulations/standards, accounting principles and payroll regulations.
- Understanding of partnership taxation of Federal and multi-state levels.
- Guide the preparation of content and materials for compensation strategy budget, FP&A, and ticket pricing.
- Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Oversee the financial analysis and approval process for insurance, 401K, debt management and city reporting.
Experience/ Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA/MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of operational and strategic Finance or Accounting experience at Director level or above.
- 5+ years of sports, events or media experience preferred.
- Experience overseeing FP&A function.
