Michael Gardia of Robert Half Finance and Accounting is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a well-respected company based in Reno, Nevada. Known for its outstanding reputation among customers, employees, and the community, this organization is looking for a CFO to provide both strategic and transactional financial leadership. This role requires expertise in construction finance, strategic planning, risk management, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership within the construction or real estate development industry. Additionally, they will serve as the organization’s chief financial spokesperson and report directly to the President.
Oversee and review the preparation of monthly financial statements in collaboration with the Controller and Accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to President
- Support the financial planning and analysis efforts
- Oversee cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Ensure legal compliance on all financial functions
- Manage relationships with banks
Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction/contractor industry.
• Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems, with a focus on the implementation and management of these systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing Business Systems within an organization.
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and its strategic use in business.
• Extensive experience in overseeing Accounting Functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Solid experience in Auditing, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Proven track record in managing Budget Processes, forecasting needs, tracking budget expenses, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Experience in Capital Management, with the ability to strategize and implement capital raise efforts.
