One of Tatum's esteemed non-profit clients is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their dynamic leadership team. About the Role
Strategic Financial Leadership: Partner closely with the strategically focused CEO to lead financial analysis and evaluate long-term organizational viability. Financial Operations Oversight: Manage and oversee the accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards applicable to non-profits, including restricted funds, endowments, grants, and financial statement presentation. Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a small team comprising accounting and HR professionals, ensuring excellence in financial operations and human resource management. Budgeting and Analysis: Develop and monitor budgets, implement cost control measures, and ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting. ERP System Management: Leverage experience with ERP systems, with a preference for Raiser's Edge, to optimize financial and operational efficiencies. Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of governance and ethical financial practices.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA is highly preferred.
- 8–10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including non-profit financial and accounting management.
- Expert knowledge of multi-company finance, consolidation accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP standards specific to non-profits, including governance and fund accounting.
- Experience managing HR functions is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Blackbaud and Razor's Edge is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
