Overview:The CPQ Developer will join the Global SFDC/CRM/CPQ Team as an individual contributor to support CRM applications for various business functions, including Field Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Sales Management, Product Management, Legal, and Finance.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in the Quote to Cash (Q2C) process, complex projects and configurations, scripting languages, and the ability to work independently once provided direction and objectives. This role involves working with business users and IT team members to configure, design, and deliver solutions that enable automated sales processes and support Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with business functions (Field Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Sales Management, Product Management, Legal, and Finance) to understand ongoing maintenance, enhancements, project requirements, and capabilities.
Document implementation plans, technical designs, and solutions.
Identify and evaluate best practices related to tool usage (both internal and external) and make recommendations to management.
Stay updated on CRM-related technological advancements, including new enhancements and capabilities.
Design and develop configurations and custom applications in a sandbox environment.
Enhance commerce pricing/approval functions to support an evolving global business.
Build reporting metrics.
Design, implement, and support document output from CPQ to meet all business and legal requirements.
Support and enhance CPQ integration with SFDC CRM and Oracle ERP.
Test and validate functionality and integrity of changes before moving them to production.
Ensure systems work optimally together in a seamless manner.
Keep CPQ version upgraded to the most appropriate version.
Incorporate industry-standard user interface designs that are intuitive, simple, and easy to use.
Design data integrity protocols to prevent data entry errors and ensure data quality.
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in healthcare, business, computer science, education, or a relevant field.
5-7 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 years of cloud application experience.
Minimum of 5 years of Java and other scripting language experience (BML experience is desirable).
Skills & Qualifications:Deep understanding of CRM and the Q2C process.
Experience with Salesforce.com CRM and cloud applications such as BigMachines.
Functional experience working across an organization to ensure global alignment on Salesforce and supporting systems.
Understanding of system infrastructure and master data models.
Experience with migration of design and data elements from sandbox to production.
Experience implementing WebService SOAP calls in Oracle CPQ (BigMachines) for unique or complex requirements.
Proven experience leading complex systems projects and project groups.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Additional knowledge of Oracle EBS, Siebel, SalesLogix, Oracle CPQ (BigMachines), Eloqua, Xactly Incent, Calidus, or Varicent is a plus.
