Are you a strategic financial leader with a strong background in dealership or multi-location business finance? Do you have the expertise to oversee $350M+ in annual revenue, optimize financial performance, and drive profitability?
Pioneer Auto Group, one of British Columbia’s largest automotive dealer groups, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work directly with ownership and the executive team. This role is critical in managing financial strategy, risk, and operational efficiency across 14 dealerships and multiple business divisions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
✅ 5+ years in a Controller or CFO role, preferably in automotive, retail, or multi-location operations.
✅ Proven experience managing $100M+ in revenue (ideally $350M+).
✅ Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and cost control.
✅ Deep understanding of dealership operations, financing, and lender relationships (preferred).
✅ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor a finance team and work directly with the owner & executives.
✅ Experience in M&A, financial restructuring, and process automation is a major asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across all dealerships and business units.
- Work closely with the Owner & Executive Team to drive financial performance and business growth.
- Develop and implement profitability strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
Financial Analysis & Risk Management
- Oversee cash flow, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Assess risk exposure and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Control
- Optimize inventory management, F&I profitability, and dealership financial KPIs.
- Work with General Managers and Department Heads to streamline operations and improve margins.
- Implement financial automation tools and reporting systems for better decision-making.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Expansion Support
- Conduct financial due diligence on acquisitions and new business ventures.
- Develop integration strategies for new dealerships or business divisions.
- Oversee real estate & facility expansion projects from a financial perspective.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, including Controllers, Accountants, and Analysts.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Provide financial training and insights to key stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits:
