Job Description
The Sales Operations Analyst will report to the Commercial Senior Director and play a vital and highly visible role in supporting ongoing improvements in our day-to-day operations. In this role, you will ensure that the Sage Retail go-to-market teams are enabled with the right commercial models, reporting, analytics, data, systems, and tools to be effective in their roles and decision-making.
- Support the Retail BU/vertical GTM teams in all aspects of reporting and analytics.
- Build and analyze reports around sales metrics (lead conversion, opportunity forecasting, bookings).
- Develop and apply analytics for GTM Leadership on sales results and program efficiency to provide business insights, forecasts, and derive meaningful insights that drive the business forward.
- Monitor sales performance efficiency, identify risks and opportunities, and drive recommendations for improvements and increases.
- Participate as a critical contributor to go-to-market projects. Identify root causes and execute related projects to improve team performance around key customer lifecycle and conversion metrics. Be a champion of change management.
- Support fiscal year planning, target and OKR setting, and ad-hoc analytics.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources to address complex business questions.
- Ensure that the weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating cadence is running effectively throughout the GTM teams.
- Train internal business partners on tools available and the data they need to run successful and insightful reports.
- Support Global Revenue Operations and FP&A as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in Operations, B2B Sales, Strategy, or similar fields.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, Salesforce.com , and Business Intelligence (Power BI preferred).
- Ability to build models that forecast any business motion.
- Proficient with SQL, capable of joining any data sources together.
- Builds and nurtures trusted relationships, appreciating the value of helping our internal customers achieve positive outcomes.
- Adept at gleaning insights and enjoys reporting data through metrics and indicators that are accurate, timely, and easy to understand.
- Ability to present data, analytics, and other complex ideas clearly to quickly show how the business is performing, where attention is required, and potential solutions to address issues obtained via data-driven insights.
- Strong desire for learning new platforms, development, analytic and presentation tools; modeling, analytic, and quantitative techniques.
