Chief Financial Officer Job Duties:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s hospitality management, development and other business objectives
- Collaboratively lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with Operations and Sales teams to support company goals
- Manage the annual capital budgeting process
- Ensure the company maintains a strong balance sheet and optimal capital structure to support growth and development projects
- Drive financial performance, cost efficiencies, and revenue optimization across all properties and business units.
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile, maintaining close relationships with insurance carriers
- Develop and maintain in-depth relations with all company managers and help to develop the financial acumen of all company leaders
- Manage debt service obligations and optimize financing structures to support business growth
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with banks, investors, private equity firms, and financial institutions to optimize capital availability
- Oversee financial modeling and investment analysis for new projects, acquisitions and asset management initiatives
- Prepare and present financial reports, investor presentations, and earnings updates to key internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives to achieve the goals and expectations of the Board and Investors
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, revenue management, and cost control initiatives
- Lead digital transformation efforts related to financial systems, ERP, and business intelligence and reporting tools
- Oversee the implementation of automation and process improvements to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiency, and internal controls
Chief Financial Officer Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of financial leadership experience in hospitality, hotel development, or real estate investment
- Strong background in financial strategy, capital markets, and corporate finance
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and investment analysis
- Experience managing investor relations and stakeholder communications.
- Strong, self-starting leader anxious to positively impact the organization with constant improvement
- Hands-on leadership style, comfortable working collaboratively in both corporate and operational environments
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making
