The City of Perth is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our Financial Services team and guide the City’s long-term financial strategy.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across the organisation, providing high-level financial insights, stewardship, and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and Council. Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will be responsible for strategic and operational financial services, including budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, cash flow management, and performance reporting.
As CFO, you will lead a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team delivering both strategic and transactional finance functions. These include business partnering, financial planning, accounting, rates and revenue services, and compliance with all legislative and governance frameworks. You’ll champion financial sustainability while ensuring the City remains agile, efficient, and equipped to meet the needs of our diverse community.
This role requires a forward-thinking leader who thrives in a complex environment. You’ll be confident working across multiple stakeholders, balancing technical rigour with strategic foresight, and bringing a strong customer and community focus to everything you do. Your ability to develop people, streamline processes, and embrace innovation will be critical in continuing to build a high-performing, future-ready finance function.
