A high-performing mining services contractor, recognised for delivering complex onsite operations across premium assets and commodities, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Leadership Team.
The business has built an enviable reputation as a trusted delivery partner to multiple mining clients, combining operational excellence with disciplined commercial performance and a strong, collaborative culture. With several long-term contracts secured and a robust pipeline of future work, the company is entering a pivotal phase of growth and organisational maturity.
This appointment represents a rare opportunity for an experienced finance leader to help shape the next stage of a profitable and highly regarded organisation, partnering closely with a commercially astute CEO and leadership team to scale the business and prepare for future strategic ambitions, including potential ASX listing plans.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will play a central role in driving financial strategy, strengthening operational insight, and building the financial capability required to support continued expansion.
The successful candidate will join a genuinely collaborative Executive Leadership Team where finance is viewed as a core business partner.
The operations team is actively seeking stronger financial partnership, enhanced reporting, and deeper analytics to support more informed decision-making across sites and contracts, creating a meaningful opportunity for finance to influence operational performance.
This role also provides the mandate to reshape and elevate the finance function. While strong talent already exists within the team, the incoming CFO will have the opportunity to refine structure, capability, systems, and reporting frameworks to create a scalable platform aligned with future growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the finance function across financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and governance
• Partner closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic and commercial matters
• Deliver enhanced operational reporting, forecasting, and performance analytics
• Support commercial decision-making across multiple contracts and operating sites
• Strengthen financial controls, systems, and scalable processes
• Oversee budgeting, cashflow management, and capital allocation
• Support preparation for listed-company governance standards and public market readiness
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
The successful candidate will be a commercially focused CFO or senior finance leader who thrives in operational, project-driven environments and enjoys partnering closely with the business.
Key experience and attributes include:
• Senior finance leadership experience within mining, mining services, contracting, or industrial sectors
• Strong commercial acumen and operational business partnering capability
• Experience supporting multi-site or contract-based operations
• Demonstrated ability to build or transform finance functions
• Exposure to ASX-listed environments
• CA or CPA qualification
• Pragmatic, hands-on leadership style suited to a growing organisation
