Finatal are partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business. With revenues of c.£15m, the business is looking to go on a buy-and-build journey to scale and enter its next phase of expansion.
The Role
As CFO, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial and strategic direction of the business. You will lead all financial operations while acting as a key partner to the CEO and private equity stakeholders, particularly in driving M&A activity and integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and reporting
- Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO on growth initiatives
- Driving the buy-and-build strategy, including deal execution and integration
- Managing investor relationships and board reporting
- Supporting commercial decision-making through high-quality financial insight
- Building and scaling the finance team in line with growth
Candidate Profile
The business is looking for a high-caliber proven CFO, or a finance leader ready to step into a CFO role, with a strong track record in private equity-backed environments.
Key requirements:
- ACA qualified
- Proven experience within a private equity-backed business
- Prior experience in the professional services sector
- Strong M&A experience, with end-to-end deal exposure
- Commercially astute with the ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
