I am working on an exclusive basis with the CEO of an early stage Private Equity backed buy and build in the facilities management sector. They are looking to hire a proven PE CFO to join them on their journey as they scale up to double digit EBITDA and beyond, ahead of a planned exit in ~4 years.
The business will be national - you will need to be based in the UK with the capacity for frequent travel to the location of various UK based businesses. The rest of your work will be remote or with investors in London.
Requirements:
- Successful track record as a no.1 CFO in a Private Equity backed business
- Experience acquiring and integrating multiple businesses in the £1-5m EBITDA range, ideally as part of a PE backed Buy and Build strategy
- Background in facilities management, fire safety, engineering services, or related TICC / industrial services businesses
- Qualified accountant
The Role:
- Work with the CEO to identify, diligence, and acquire suitable assets for this Buy and Build platform
- Create a finance function from scratch that is of a suitable standard for the Private Equity mid market
- Hire and manage a high performing finance team
- Select and implement a full finance software suite
- Contribute significantly to ongoing strategy
- Ensure robust financial controllership
- Lead on ongoing fund raising / refinancing initiatives
- Provide operational leadership, including driving excellence in individual portfolio companies
- Ensure exit readiness and execute a sale in a ~4 year time horizon
