Company Overview
We operate a multi‑entity enterprise comprised of nine corporate entities, with one serving as the primary revenue engine where we focus on data center design/build services, consulting, equipment sales, and related ventures. Our goal is ambitious: to scale our annual revenue to $500M by 2030. We are seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking Chief Financial Officer who can enable and drive this growth, aligning corporate structure, financing, operational controls, and long‑term strategy across all entities and ventures.
Position Summary
The CFO will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and a cornerstone of the executive team, providing unified financial stewardship across nine corporate entities. This role is responsible for guiding corporate structure optimization (including consideration of a holding company), implementing equity or phantom equity incentive programs, and aligning operational priorities across businesses. The ideal candidate will have a track record of guiding high‑growth ventures — ideally from $100M to $1B or a similar trajectory — and deep experience working within multi‑entity environments, growth ventures, and complex financing structures.
What We Need
- Proven Experience: Senior financial leadership experience (CFO or VP‑level) with a successful track record at a PE‑backed or high‑growth company.
- Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in large scale projects, contracting and subcontracting work, forecasting, and multi‑entity GAAP accounting.
- Capital Market Knowledge: Strong experience with fundraising, investor relations, and complex financing (debt, equity, convertible instruments).
- Leadership & Vision: Exceptional communication and strategic thinking abilities, adept at guiding teams and stakeholders through dynamic environments and evolving priorities.
- Operational Excellence: Skilled in multi‑entity corporate structure, consolidated reporting, internal controls, and long‑term operational planning.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Strong understanding of multi‑state regulations, tax planning, risk mitigation, and internal controls across businesses.
- Cultural Fit: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve quickly.
What We’d Like to See (Not Required)
- Experience with FP&A software platforms, AI‑driven forecasting, and advanced analytics tools.
- A proven track record of scaling businesses from $100M to $1B, or achieving comparable milestones.
- Background in construction services, HVAC, or related industries.
- Experience with multi‑jurisdictional and international financial operations and compliance.
- Prior exposure to board‑level reporting, governance, and equity planning.
Additional Qualifications
- CPA or CFP designation preferred (MBA or MBT highly preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction/HVAC industry dynamics highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel at least once per month to Boise, ID (and additional trips as required), with an option to relocate for the right candidate.
