POSITION SUMMARY:
A Senior Sales Operations Analyst role is directly responsible for managing and scaling an organization's data systems to ensure efficient business operations that promote profitability and growth. Their role bridges business processes and technology, helping SMA make smarter, objective business decisions from the extensive data collected and stored. Work will be primarily achieved through project teams and individually, while having the capacity to work independently with discretion and good judgment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and maintain sophisticated sets of data, linking various relational databases, and utilizing them to create advanced business analytics such as sales revenue and product forecasts.
- Create dashboards and Executive-ready reports using tools like SQL, Excel, Power BI, and SAP to present key findings .
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of procurement compliance, company policies, and strategic objectives to inform decision-making and co-author best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional process improvement projects that positively impact operations related to price, quality, delivery, and corporate social responsibility.
- Continuously collaborates with Finance, Operations, IT, Sales, and Marketing teams to enhance system usability and identify areas for improvement.
- Develops and maintains a clear and scalable logistics strategy to support the growth of the business.
- Participates in ongoing education to keep job knowledge aligned with market trends.
- Adheres to and upholds all Star Micronics LTD policies.
- Other duties as needed.
SKILLS:
- Ability to read and generally grasp general business periodicals, professional publications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Moderately developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, employees, vendors, and occasionally government agents; ability to read reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Exceptional reasoning skills with an ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Critical thinking will be a key to success in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Applied Data Analytics, or related field required. Candidates who do not possess the required education may substitute additional related experience on a year-for-year basis.
· 10+ years of hands-on experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, and ERP system management (direct SAP experience preferred).
· 1+ year of experience in AI development, with familiarity in Azure SQL, Python, Power Query, and Power BI considered a plus.
·5+ years of enterprise-level analytics experience in a professional setting preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
· 10% -15% travel as necessary in support of subcontracting efforts and related activities (Mostly domestic, but potential for international locations possible)

Pay range: 80,000-90,000
