Position Overview
Join our innovative team at the forefront of satellite communications technology! We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Assistant Manager to spearhead our Starlink Sales Operations in Dubai.
This position is responsible for supporting the sales team by providing technical guidance, developing commercial proposals, and ensuring seamless coordination between customers, technical teams, and sales operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong satellite communication knowledge with commercial acumen to support revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Technical Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to the sales team during client engagements, including explaining satcom solutions such as Starlink, L-band, VSAT, VoIP, or network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop tailored technical solutions that meet client requirements.
- Assist in creating technical documentation, including solution diagrams, network configurations, and service proposals.
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations to showcase telecom solutions to prospective clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., LEO solutions, SD-WAN, Cyber Security, IoT, cloud telephony), and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
- Support post-sales activities by coordinating with technical teams to ensure smooth implementation of sold solutions.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed commercial proposals, including pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms, in collaboration with the sales team.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into cost-effective, competitive solutions that align with company profitability goals.
- Manage the bid process for RFPs/RFQs, ensuring timely and accurate submission of proposals.
- Track sales performance metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to optimize sales strategies.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients in coordination with the sales and legal teams to secure deals while maintaining compliance with company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, addressing commercial inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Operational Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between sales, technical, and operations teams to streamline communication and project delivery.
- Manage sales support processes, including CRM updates, order processing, and documentation for seamless sales operations.
- Train and mentor junior staff on satcom products, services, and sales processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in satcom sales, technical sales support, or a related role in the satcom industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of satcom technologies (e.g., LEO/GEO, L-Band, MPLS, fiber networks, VoIP, cloud-based solutions).
- Familiarity with network design, solution planning, or satcom IT infrastructure deployment.
- Proficiency in tools like CRM software (e.g., Microsoft D365), MS Office, and satcom-specific software (e.g., network management systems).
Commercial Skills:
- Proven ability to develop compelling commercial proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Strong analytical skills for pricing, forecasting, and market analysis.
- Experience with RFP/RFQ processes and bid management.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate technical and commercial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with a customer-centric mindset.
