Business Operations Associate
South Park Commons (SPC) is a community and venture fund for founders and domain-experts figuring out what’s next. We believe that good ideas rarely come about in isolation. To help our members navigate what we call -1 to 0, we’ve curated talent-dense, technical, and curious communities in San Francisco, New York, and Bengaluru.
This is a systems-first role, but not systems-only. You’ll help build founder-facing systems and communicate with members and portfolio founders to support their needs, leveraging the SPC Network. You’ll work closely with our Partner team to ensure that our systems surface the right people, knowledge, and opportunities at the right time.
You’ll design and own projects across founder-facing resources, internal ops, automation, and data analysis. You’ll also help translate ideas from 1:1 relationships and intuition into repeatable workflows and interfaces, enabling us to deliver leverage to more members and founders as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the community and investment teams to build systems that surface relevant people in the SPC network and knowledge to founders.
- Take point on working directly with members and portfolio founders to improve discoverability and matchmaking within the community, broader SPC network, and portfolio.
- Support recruiting and coordination efforts across our community and portfolio. This may involve setting up systems for interview scheduling or directly scheduling them.
- Analyze internal and external data to uncover insights and improve our member and founder experience
- Ensure data hygiene and reporting consistency across core systems (e.g., company details, member database, talent network)
- Automate repetitive workflows with light scripting to build an MVP (e.g Airtable/Zapier tools, no-code, low-code tooling) and iterate and work with our engineering team to productize.
- Track performance of our platform efforts and define simple experiments to test improvements
