Job Overview
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is a key executive responsible for driving the company’s revenue growth through strategic planning, business development, and operational excellence. This role requires a visionary leader who can align the sales and marketing teams with the overall business strategy to maximize revenue opportunities. The CRO will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative strategies that enhance market presence and drive sustainable growth.
We’re hiring a fractional Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to own revenue generation: open doors, shape pricing, drive RFPs, and close corporate event work. You’ll bring relationships in Texas and turn them into booked shows—so our technical team can execute flawlessly.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a partner pipeline (DMCs, corporate/association planners, production agencies, hotels that allow outside AV)
- Secure hosted-buyer / association appointments (MPI, PCMA, ILEA, etc.)
- Define pricing, day-rates, and 3-tier packages (Essential/Signature/Mainstage)
- Run the RFP/proposal process end-to-end; negotiate scope and margin
- Coordinate with operations on staffing, rentals, and show timelines

- Develop and execute comprehensive revenue strategies that align with the company's overall business goals.
- Lead and manage the sales and marketing teams to ensure effective execution of revenue-generating initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee negotiation processes to secure profitable contracts and partnerships.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within revenue-generating departments.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of revenue strategies and make data-driven decisions.
- Drive project management initiatives to ensure timely delivery of revenue-related projects.

- Proven experience in management, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
- Expertise in strategic planning with a focus on long-term growth objectives.
- Strong background in senior leadership roles, preferably within a similar industry.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, capable of closing high-value deals.
- Experience in business development, identifying new markets and opportunities for expansion.
- Proficient in project management methodologies to oversee various initiatives effectively.
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques to streamline operations management.

Required to Have
- Existing relationships with corporate planners/DMCs/production agencies in TX (must)
- 3+ years selling events, production, or AV/staging services
- Proven wins in the $25k–$150k show range (share examples)
- Strong proposal skills (scope, exclusions, adders, OT, per diem)
- Integrity: you protect partner relationships and brand standards
Nice to Have
- Experience selling white-label execution
- Familiarity with SAT–AUS–HOU-DFW venues and hotel policies for outside AV
- Hosted-buyer or chapter involvement (MPI/PCMA/ILEA)
Compensation & Structure
- 90-day trial contract; extend/expand based on results
- Commission only on CRO-sourced deals
- No long-term exclusivity required

Pay: $49,968.94 - $60,177.64 per year
