GNB Investment Enterprises is comprised of multiple entities including a personal investment portfolio, multiple business entities in construction, intellectual property, manufacturing, real estate, charitable foundations, and classic cars. The organization is an umbrella of entities that need to be managed individually as well as a collective.
Position Summary
The CFO will serve as a trusted financial steward for the investor, providing strategic advice across the realm of investment and business entities. This position requires a high degree of expertise in investment management, estate planning, legal matters, tax strategies, real estate acquisition, insurance and other areas. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to handle diverse tasks with discretion, professionalism, and expertise. Experience understanding issues involving legal issues (counsel provided), including patent law, raising capital, investor relations, construction management, and real estate are important.
This position is integral to the success of the CEO and organization; the CFO will act as the right hand and primary advisor to the CEO.
Responsibilities Include
Financial Management: Oversee and manage investment strategies, portfolio management and wealth preservation. Work with financial institutions and trusted investment professionals to maximize investment opportunities aligned with overall goals. Develop a comprehensive financial plan and risk management strategy.
Financial Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy.
Budgeting: Balance Strategic planning with evolving personal and business needs. Create and oversee budgets for personal use and multiple business entities.
Tax and Estate Planning: Ensure tax efficiency and manage estate planning initiatives of an evolving personal and business portfolio (with counsel).
Mergers and Acquisition and Raising Capital: Strong understanding of the fundamentals of M&A and working with firms and individuals in this area. Able to advise company leadership on the fundamentals of raising capital and working with outside investors and stakeholders.
Interact with Staff: Collaberate with entity personnel creating budgets and managing payroll, funding, and overall financial demands of each business.
Financial Reporting and Record Keeping: Ability to prepare multiple financial reports including personal financial statements, cash management, cash flow projections, tax reports, portfolio performance reports, company financial statements, investment opportunities, property reports, and classic car management.
Strategy: The ideal candidate will use their financial acumen and deep understanding of financial management, budgeting and investment strategies to advise the CEO of opportunities to diversify and pursue their financial goals.
Qualifications
A minimum of a B.A. in Accounting or a related field is required.
The ideal candidate will have seven plus years of experience working in a related or similar environment, advising and managing the matters of high-net-worth individuals and their related businesses with a proven record of success.
In addition, the candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to navigating complex financial landscapes. A track record of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment is essential, as is the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners. Demonstrated experience with family office type operations or multi-entity businesses is highly valued.
Advanced proficiency with financial modeling, reporting software, and relevant technologies is expected. Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MBA are considered strong assets. Candidates should be comfortable operating in dynamic environments, adapting to shifting priorities and emerging challenges while always maintaining a strategic focus on the long-term vision and success of the portfolio.
