Job Title: Business Application Analyst

Reports To: Director, Systems Development

Location: San Francisco, CA
Function: The purpose of the Business Applications Analyst is to work with both the IT department and other departments within CAI to bridge the gap between business needs and technological solutions. The Analyst collaborates with key stakeholders and developers to identify opportunities for improvement, analyze requirements, and design and implement effective business applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director, Systems Development and other business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into actionable business applications projects.
- Analyze, design, code, debug, test, and integrate new business applications or enhancements to existing systems.
- Work collaboratively with developers and end users to integrate new and updated business applications.
- Support the IT team to ensure all applications meet financial reporting and regulatory compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive user documentation and training materials.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices within business applications.
- Proactively identify problems and present and develop solutions.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a business applications role.
- Experience with data visualization tools including Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Ability to communicate and advocate with a variety of internal constituencies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects to completion with sensitivity to deadlines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, with initiative.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to study and apply new information.
