Join the UOC team! University Orthopedics Center, a leader in orthopedic care throughout central PA for over 30 years, is currently seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO). We are excited to meet highly motivated candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced professional medical practice.
Position Summary: The CFO is responsible for managing the accounting and financial management activities of UOC Companies. Principle responsibilities shall include developing and maintaining core accounting systems; preparation of entity financial reports; coordination of the budget and financial planning functions; oversight of company portfolios and cash management services; management and negotiation of debt arrangements; organization and oversight of material management systems. CFO shall also prepare financial projections and capitalization options for proposed new businesses and perform general management tasks as assigned.
Accounting
- Plans, directs, and coordinates all accounting operational functions.
- Prepares all internal financial statements.
- Organizes and completes scheduled statistical reports.
- Administers financial reporting requirements for external agencies including UOC banking institutions; government taxing authorities; regulatory entities and UOC auditors
- Establishes and monitors internal financial controls and reports deficiencies and corrective actions to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
Financial Management
- Cash flow management
- Coordinates the annual operating and capital budgeting process.
- Summarizes budget trends, analyzing deficiencies and reporting variances.
- Manages tax preparation duties and works with external tax accountants.
- Oversees all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers.
- Determines business unit capital requirements and prioritizes allocations. Prepares return on capital projections and risk/return assessments.
- Manages debt facilities and implements strategies to maintain an efficient debt/equity capital structure.
Management
- Hires, trains, and supervises accounting team members.
- Collaborates with the management team to establish more effective processes and controls to minimize risk and identify growth opportunities.
- Directs the materials management function.
- Prepares, monitors, and reports key performance measures to management team.
The Chief Financial Officer is classified as an exempt employee and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
