Role Overview
As CFO, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, owning the financial vision, infrastructure, and operations of the company. You will be responsible for financial planning, controls, forecasting, and ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with our financial data.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a finance leader who can both build and execute.
The CFO should be familiar with the handling of financial reporting for multiple entities and must be able to provide strategic financial guidance and lead initiatives to enhance our financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee and mentor accounting and finance teams and processes, demonstrating effective knowledge of billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, GL analysis, cash management, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations.
· Maintain and optimize banking relationships, guaranteeing efficient cash flow and compliance regulations.
· Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and provide valuable insights to support decision-making by the executive team.
· Monitor and analyze operating expenses, including labor costs, food and beverage costs, utilities, repairs, equipment, supplies, and overall preferences for each entity.
· Oversee tax compliance/planning and strategically minimize tax liability.
· Develop and lead financial strategies, budgeting, forecasting, optimization of capital, and long-term planning processes.
· Build and oversee financial systems, reporting structures, and internal controls.
· Partner with CEO and leadership on business modeling, investment decisions, and expansion plans, driving process improvement for greater efficiency and accuracy.
· Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation.
· Establish and track key financial and operational KPIs.
· Prepare financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
· Interface with external stakeholders: auditors, banks, investors, and legal advisors
· Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, and margin improvement strategies.
Required Experience
· 10 years of prior experience in a senior finance leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance, or similar)
· Deep understanding of industrial sectors, especially one or more of the following:
o Mining
o Trucking and freight
o Logistics/Supply Chain
o Sand/Fracking/Oilfield Services
· Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, tax laws, and financial reporting standards
· Experience building or overhauling finance functions in a growing or evolving organization.
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred
· Must be willing to travel

Pay: $225,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
