E57 Partners is partnering with a $175M–$225M revenue manufacturing company in the DFW Metro Area to identify a hands-on, execution-focused Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This is a critical, immediate need driven by a leadership gap. The organization requires a proven finance leader who can step in quickly, stabilize the finance function, and provide both strategic direction and day-to-day execution.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has strong operational finance experience, and can quickly assess, prioritize, and drive impact.
This engagement is expected to last 3–4 months, with a strong possibility of converting to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Role Summary
The Interim CFO will take full ownership of the finance function, partnering closely with executive leadership to ensure continuity, visibility, and performance across the business.
This individual must be both strategic and hands-on, capable of leading at the executive level while also diving into the details when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Stabilization
- Step in immediately to lead and stabilize the finance and accounting function
- Assess current financial infrastructure, team capabilities, and reporting accuracy
- Ensure continuity across all financial operations during the transition period
Financial Reporting & Visibility
- Oversee timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership
- Improve visibility into key financial and operational metrics
Operational Finance & Manufacturing Support
- Partner with operations to drive margin improvement, cost control, and efficiency
- Analyze inventory, COGS, and production cost structures
- Implement discipline around budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash forecasts
- Ensure appropriate controls and visibility around capital deployment
Team Leadership & Assessment
- Evaluate the current finance team structure and performance
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to accounting and finance staff
- Identify gaps and make recommendations for long-term organizational design
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Strengthen internal controls and financial discipline
- Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Executive Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team
- Support strategic decision-making with data-driven insights
- Assist in preparing board-level materials and communications if needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader (VP Finance, Controller stepping into CFO capacity)
- Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate in interim or turnaround situations
- Hands-on leader with the ability to “roll up sleeves” and execute
- Deep expertise in financial reporting, FP&A, and operational finance
- Experience with ERP systems and financial system optimization
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
