This role provides general management support to the partner leading the Firm’s Private Equity practice across EMEA (known as the “Regional Section Head”). Our EMEA PE practice is currently the largest team in the global Firm and this role is being created in order to provide strong senior management assistance in the running of the practice. This will involve working with the practice leader, partners and all business services functions in a collaborative manner, taking on responsibility for delivering enhancements and outcomes. While the broad areas this role covers can be defined, the level of responsibility granted to, and the direct impact from, this position will also be heavily influenced by the personal effectiveness of the position-holder.
Regional Section Management Responsibilities:

Assistance with, and project management of, specific projects and initiatives the RSH is looking to implement;

Working closely with People, Finance, Business Development and other teams to drive management improvements and implement projects for both the London private equity team and the wider EMEA team (e.g. client initiatives, financial management, productivity,focus on core priorities);

Organising agenda, speakers, slides and notes for regular EMEA section and London meetings;
-
Organising ad hoc team meetings outside of London including liaising with lead partner(s) on visits and team presentations;

Supporting with Firm and executive committee requests e.g. business priorities and actions;

Ad hoc analysis of both financial and non-financial data to assist with projects (e.g. analysis to assist with efficiency of client matters, including use of technology and leverage);

Alternative point of contact to the RSH on agreed projects with other personnel in the Firm.
Other Responsibilities:

Interpretation of high-level trends to support the growth and financial performance of the section.

Reviewing section/office monthly financial performance – discuss areas of concern etc. with RSH.

Managing section financial forecasts – including calls with lead partner(s) in offices to discuss full year expectations.

Managing section financial budgets – including but not limited to liaising with lead partner(s) in offices on headcount and market dynamics.

Working with inventory manager, especially at year end, to support billing/collection drives and full year revenue forecast.

Providing finance updates to lead partner(s) in offices

Partner and client financials, as well as expense approval and analysis.

Experience working with law firm partners in large practice management roles, providing comprehensive support

Preferred experience in professional services (and ideally in a law firm)

Technically adept at learning new systems and tools

Preferred experience with AI and technology in a professional services environment

Focus on project execution with strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

This role is based in London, and reports into the Regional COO (EMEA), but is accountable to, and works alongside the Regional Section Head (EMEA) for Private Equity.
Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week. Please note that occasional travel to EMEA may be required.
