Hollingsworth & Vose is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales Operations to help shape our newly established Sales Operations function. In this newly formed position, the Director will play a critical role in our pipeline and opportunity management function, as well as building foundational processes, tools, and metrics to support our commercial objectives. Reporting to the Global Sales Operations Lead, the ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, and can lead multiple efforts while delivering exceptional results.
- Lead the end-to-end sales opportunity funnel and deliver regular insights to the business.
- Oversee and manage the opportunity pipeline reviews and processes in conjunction with sales leaders and account managers.
- Lead revenue & demand planning, pipeline management, and commercial process optimization to meet corporate goals, with a clear understanding of the drivers needed to close individual incremental business opportunities.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the drivers behind our rolling 12 month forecast and support cross-functional focus toward opportunity conversion and revenue attainment.
- Drive forecast accuracy and pipeline health through data integrity, methodology improvements, as well as customer & account manager engagement.
- Represent the Commercial team in the Corporate Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
- Lead the monthly sales revenue outlook, understanding opportunities that can impact the month as well as collaborating with Customer Operations to identify risk in order execution.
- Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement and efficiencies; work closely with Sales and Sales Operations leadership to prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Utilize best business practices as business process expert in CRM, including optimization of current systems and/or definition of future requirements.
- Provide strategic input to goals and roadmap for Sales Operations organization.
- Support execution of critical marketing strategic initiatives.
- Support sales enablement efforts, including onboarding, training, and continuous development programs in partnership with HR or Learning & Development.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining clear oversight of deliverables, priorities, and timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related field
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and process improvements
- In-depth knowledge of sales operations, including opportunity management, sales enablement, and sales analytics
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with sales operations tools and technologies, including CRM systems and sales automation platforms
- Experience in global markets with an understanding of the operational and cultural dynamics of working across EMEA, Americas, and APAC
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to navigate across regions, teams, and seniority levels with clarity and credibility
- Experience in the manufacturing industry or related industrial sectors is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to effectively manage, mentor, and develop a direct report, creating a supportive and accountable environment that fosters growth and high performance
