Business Operations Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85021 (Hybrid – Onsite Mon–Wed)
Pay Rate: $35–$40/hour
Duration: 12-month contract with possible extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm AZ time
Travel: Occasional in-state travel (once per quarter, expenses covered)
Overview:
Seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support and streamline business operations, projects, and systems. This role involves managing project portfolios, analyzing data, and improving processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong project management and financial analytics experience, and familiarity with land and right-of-way operations is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and track capital project portfolios, creating structure and reporting frameworks.
- Analyze, plan, and support a wide range of business projects and process improvements.
- Research operational issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize reporting to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to optimize workflow and automate processes.
- Support project planning, documentation, and system enhancements.
- Conduct data analysis and present insights to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of relevant business operations, systems, or project management experience.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, Access, and Word.
- Experience with financial analytics and portfolio management required.
- Knowledge of land/right-of-way or utilities industries preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification preferred.
