Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our non-profit financial operations and shape the fiscal direction of our organization. The CFO will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support sustainable growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that support organizational growth, stability, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the preparation of accurate financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and regulatory filings in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant standards.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions such as revenue management, cost control, expense management, payroll management, and treasury management to optimize resource allocation.
- Manage risk assessment processes by conducting detailed risk analysis and implementing mitigation strategies aligned with COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) frameworks and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements.
- Lead mergers & acquisitions activities by evaluating potential opportunities through market analysis, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation support, and integration planning.
- Ensure regulatory reporting compliance across governmental accounting standards and industry-specific regulations while maintaining transparency in financial disclosures.
- Supervise internal controls related to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and technical accounting practices to uphold integrity in financial reporting.
- Oversee budgeting processes and forecasting activities to provide accurate financial insights for strategic planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with management on business development efforts by analyzing market trends and identifying new revenue streams or cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead the finance team in developing robust financial analysis skills to interpret complex data sets for informed decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in financial software utilization, cost management techniques, and supply chain cost control measures.
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to senior leadership and board members through detailed reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles with extensive supervising experience in finance teams.
- Deep understanding of corporate finance principles including fiscal management, risk management, profit & loss analysis, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS; familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition; expertise in governmental accounting when applicable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage SOX compliance processes along with COSO internal control frameworks.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions including market analysis, due diligence procedures, negotiation strategies, and integration processes.
- Proficiency in financial software systems coupled with advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership capabilities combined with strong negotiation skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical skills with an eye for detail in technical accounting practices such as cost accounting, tax accounting, supply chain costs, and cost control measures.
- Ability to interpret complex financial reports accurately while providing actionable insights aligned with organizational goals.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management including billing processes and revenue recognition standards like ASC 606.
- Effective communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and interpreting them for non-financial audiences. Pay: $135,000.00 - $158,000.00 per year
