JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company to ensure its long-term financial stability and growth. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization by delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and managing all accounting operations. The CFO develops financial strategies, monitors performance metrics, and provides leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the CFO partners closely with the CEO to support business decisions and drive strategic initiatives
- Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff is performing effectively and at their highest potential to achieve personal, departmental, and company organizational goals. This includes interviewing, planning, assigning, completing performance evaluations, coaching, and directing work.
- Identify and assess the financial strength of the company through effective analysis of company revenue and expenses.
- Provide advice and guidance to the CEO and members of the leadership team on cost reduction measures, opportunities for cost controls and optimum utilization of company assets.
- Ensure the company complies with applicable laws and regulations as they relate to business operations.
- Manage company 401K assets and make selection for TPA.
- Oversee the company's payroll function to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.
- Assume primary responsibility for ensuring month and year end close information is accurately completed and reported on a timely basis.
- Oversee company billing and purchasing functions to ensure proper tracking of expenses and purchases.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the annual impacts and outcomes for HR, Finance and IT departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Finance required. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of professional financial experience, including managing the financial operations of a high-growth $25 million organization.
- Successful history of producing monthly profit and loss statements and ability to identify and analyze trends.
- Solid experience building and managing Financial operations.
- Ability to collaborate with leadership on all topics related to finance, including establishing and meeting quarterly and annual objectives.
- Strong communication, both verbal and written, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and ethics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change when needed.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Valid driver’s license required and use of personal vehicle may be necessary per location.
- Compliance with acceptable vehicle insurance levels as outlined in the company policy.
- Ability to travel 25%-50% of time.
- Perform the essential functions and physical demands of the position with or without accommodation.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with accounting and payroll processing software required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
- Ability to view computer screens for extended periods.
- Occasional standing, walking, and reaching within the office environment.
- Ability to lift and carry objects (up to 15 lbs), such as files, documents, or office supplies.
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
- The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $255,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year
