Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their client's amazing team in California. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to lead financial strategy and operations in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with significant experience in federal contracting and enterprise financial management.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with federal contracting regulations and applicable laws.
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Manage audits, internal controls, and risk management processes.
Provide financial analysis and guidance to executive leadership and the board.
Lead and mentor finance team members to maintain high standards of performance.
Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and contract compliance.
Drive process improvements for efficiency and transparency in financial operations.

Qualifications

CPA designation required.
Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role.
Proven experience with federal contracting, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
Strong knowledge of tribal government or tribal enterprise financial structures.
Expertise in GAAP, audit processes, and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Experience with grant management and federal contracting streams.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
