Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Controller / Head of Finance / Accountant to lead our nationwide Brokerage As A Service (BaaS) Real Estate Model, BaaSRail.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and compliance with relevant standards such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and ASC 606
- Lead treasury management activities, including cash flow forecasting, CAC and LTV modeling, and risk assessment
- Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements and internal control frameworks such as COSO
- Manage tax planning and compliance including tax accounting practices relevant to governmental accounting standards
- Build and supervise a team of bookkeepers that report directly to you
- Manage BaaSRail Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, billing, seat fees, pass-through fees, reimbursable costs and payment reconciliation
- Oversee and manage payment rails and billing systems (Stripe, Brokermint, Loft47)
- Manage payroll processing to employees and payouts to Designated Brokers and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Collaborate with real estate clients, internal and external stakeholders to review accounts and financial reports, gather information and resolve issues
- Prepare and analyze monthly recurring revenue reports; interpret complex financial data to inform strategic decision-making by senior management and Board of Directors
- Assist with revenue cycle management, revenue recognition policies, and profit & loss analysis
- Learn and ensure compliance and reporting requirements for all 50 states as introduced with company's growth
- Maintain and update files, records, and databases
- Perform general office duties as needed to organize files, manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, schedule meetings, etc
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant CPA
- Strong understanding of accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS (including IAS), ASC 606; experience with public accounting preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory reporting requirements and SOX compliance processes.
- Proficiency in financial software systems, journal entries, and account reconciliation, along with advanced skills in financial report writing and interpretation.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with supervisory experience managing financial teams

Pay: $58,650.00 - $166,350.00 per year
