Job Description: SAP CPQ (CRM) Specialist - SAP Implementation

Position Overview
The SAP CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and optimization
of SAP CPQ solutions within large-scale CRM transformation programs. This role involves working closely
with business stakeholders, technical teams, and integration partners to implement end‑to‑end CPQ
capabilities aligned with organizational sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of
10 years of SAP experience, with strong expertise in SAP CPQ, CRM, and integration with SAP S/4HANA,
SAP Sales Cloud, and other sales ecosystem applications.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP CPQ solution implementation, including requirement gathering, design, configuration, and testing.
Translate business needs into functional SAP CPQ configurations covering product modeling, pricing, rules,
quoting workflows, and approval processes.
Collaborate with sales, pricing, product, and IT teams to align CPQ solutions with enterprise CRM strategy.
Configure complex product hierarchies, pricing structures, discount strategies, and approval matrices.
Build and optimize CPQ rules including constraint rules, configuration rules, and workflow automation.
Manage integrations between SAP CPQ and upstream/downstream systems such as SAP CRM, SAP Sales Cloud,
SAP S/4HANA, ERP, and external catalog or pricing engines.
Develop functional design documents (FDDs), test cases, and user documentation.
Lead SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles with cross-functional teams.
Drive cutover activities including data migration, product model load, and pricing setup.
Provide go-live support, troubleshoot CPQ issues, and ensure stabilization during hypercare.
Advise on CPQ best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with ABAP developers, middleware teams, and integration architects to implement enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of SAP experience with at least 5 years focused on SAP CPQ or SAP CRM Pricing/Configuration.
Strong understanding of SAP CPQ product configuration, pricing models, discounting, and quoting processes.
Experience integrating SAP CPQ with SAP CRM/Sales Cloud, S/4HANA, ERP, and third‑party systems.
Hands‑on expertise with CPQ rule engines (constraints, product logic, workflows).
Strong knowledge of sales processes including Lead‑to‑Order, Quote‑to‑Cash (QTC), and related CRM functionalities.
Ability to write functional specifications and guide technical teams.
Proficient in end-to-end implementation activities including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Prior experience working with global and cross-cultural teams.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP certification in CPQ, CRM, or SAP Sales Cloud.
Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Variant Configuration, or pricing tools like Vendavo/Pricefx.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps project methodologies.
Experience migrating from legacy quoting tools to SAP CPQ.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
