Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key executive leader responsible for driving the company’s financial strategy, supporting long-term growth, and ensuring strong financial integrity. This role oversees all financial operations—including planning, reporting, accounting, capital management, and risk mitigation—while partnering closely with executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making.

Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals and expansion plans.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide high-level financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
- Evaluate financial performance using KPIs, dashboards, and operational metrics.
Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, audits, and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.
Cash Flow, Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Oversee banking relationships, lender communications, and capital planning.
- Lead investment strategy, financing decisions, and capital structure management.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage and risk-management policies.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Operational Finance
- Partner with Operations, HR, and Department Heads to support cost control and budgeting.
- Analyze business unit performance and drive initiatives that strengthen profitability.
- Improve cost efficiencies across labor, overhead, and operational systems.
Systems, Technology & Process Optimization
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems and ERPs.
- Automate reporting and streamline accounting workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
- Build scalable processes to support multi-location or high-growth operations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to the Board and executive leadership.
- Act as a strategic partner to all departments across the organization.
Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience (Controller, VP Finance, or CFO).
- Proven success leading financial operations in a high-growth or complex organization.
- Strong background in financial planning, analysis, modeling, and strategy.
- Expertise in GAAP, compliance, audits, and internal controls.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, reporting tools, and financial software.
