The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial direction while ensuring operational excellence in day-to-day financial management. The successful candidate will partner with the CEO, C-suite executives, and the Board of Directors to drive growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability. This individual must be equally adept at high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong track record in manufacturing and distribution environments.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Advise the Board of Directors on financial performance, forecasts, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions related to growth, capital investments, M&A, and market expansion.
- Ensure financial strategies support operational excellence, supply chain efficiency, and customer value delivery.
Financial Management & Operations
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Drive treasury and tax function including cash and debt management strategy, cash flow and liquidity forecasting, credit management, tax compliance and reporting to support business operations and growth.
- Lead cost management initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Implement robust financial controls, policies, and risk management practices.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders to align financial performance with manufacturing and distribution objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional leaders, enabling sound decision-making and execution.
Tactical Execution
- Drive timely execution of financial processes including month-end close, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee ERP and financial systems, ensuring they support accurate reporting and efficient operations.
- Partner with supply chain, operations, and sales to translate financial insights into actionable business improvements.
- Lead tactical initiatives such as pricing strategies, vendor negotiations, and working capital optimization.
- Develop and maintain costing templates and cost analysis for SKUs and customers; ensuring the ERP system is updated with correct cost of goods sold.
Experience and Skills Required:
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance executive role.
- Proven track record in manufacturing and/or distribution sectors.
- Experience working directly with Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, supply chain finance, and operational drivers.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance big-picture strategy with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership and people management skills; able to mentor and build high-performing teams.
- Ability to build buy-in with multiple stakeholders with sometimes conflicting priorities

Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000
Bonus Potential: 25%
