The role
Based at Netlaw Media’s Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex, a vacancy has become available to lead the Business Operations team. You will be responsible for day to day and future operational efficiency of the business, working collaboratively with all departments (events operations, sales team, marketing team) and closely with the CEO.
You will also work closely with service providers, contractors and third party in relation to specific projects, tenders and service renewals.
The current global growth of our business, specifically focused on the global legal sector, means we are a rapidly evolving business, but with established and highly successful services positioned in the market.
The right candidate will join a friendly and focused team, supporting and driving the growth of the business here in the UK, but also to help develop our exciting expansion plans including the Office Relocation planned for 2027.
Netlaw Media offer hybrid working with teams working up to 2 days from home per week. This is dependent on business needs i.e during event deadlines and for team coverage in office. During the initial probation period new joiners are expected to be in office full time to accommodate training needs and team integration. This role is a part-time vacancy with up to 25 hours. The FTE working week is 8.30 am – 5.30 pm.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to);
- Leadership and Strategic Business Support
- Line Manager to Operations Assistant
- Supervision of Daily Business Operations (in collaboration with contracted third-party suppliers as needed):
- Creation and Administration of Sponsorship and Partner Contracts and Booking Forms (in collaboration with the Head of Sales and Commercial Team)
- Business Operations Framework:
- Ethical Supply Chain Management
- Supplier and Contract Renewals
- Data Workflows, Processes, and GDPR Compliance
- Oversight and Renewal of Insurances and other policies
- Office, Staffing, and HR:
- Office Relocation planned for 2027
- Oversight of Office and Staffing
- Employee Handbook, Employment Policies, Process and New Starter Processing
- Internal Communications (e.g., staffing updates)
- Maintenance of IT Equipment and Supplies (updates, purchases,/ liability)
- Health and Safety, Fire Regulation (briefings, training, policies)
- Profficient Microsoft applications

All applicants must be living in the U.K and have access to travel to the Office in Chelmsford, Essex, and be eligible to work part time and without restriction in the U.K.
