Western Trucks & Parts is a rapidly growing multi-location auto parts and manufacturing company serving Denver, Seattle, and Phoenix, with headquarters newly relocated to Arizona. The business is on pace to exceed $15M in annual revenue by 2026 with more than 60 employees, and we expect continued expansion through future acquisitions to reach $30M+ in annual revenue by 2028 with more than 100 staff. We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide our financial operations, optimize margins, strengthen vendor relationships, and support aggressive growth initiatives.
Position Overview
The CFO will oversee the Accounting & Finance organization—including AP, AR, and financial reporting—while driving operational excellence across margins, procurement, inventory, and multi-location financial performance. This role requires deep expertise in the auto parts industry, strong command of systems such as Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Cin7 Inventory, and QuickBooks Online, and the ability to analyze data across multiple platforms to ensure accuracy, profitability, and alignment with growth goals.
This is a hands-on executive role that partners closely with the CEO and leadership team and plays a key part in future acquisition analysis and integration.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead and manage the Accounting team, including oversight of AP, AR, month-end closing, and financial controls.
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports to the CEO and executive team.
- Monitor margins across all product lines, services, and store locations, ensuring systems accurately reflect true cost and profitability.
- Present financial performance during weekly sales meetings and help the team understand revenue drivers and margin opportunities.
Systems & Data Management
- Oversee financial and operational data integrity across Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Cin7 Inventory, and QuickBooks Online.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility into KPIs, margins, shrinkage, freight costs, and vendor performance.
- Implement system controls and process improvements to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.
Procurement, Vendors & Inventory Management
- Lead procurement strategy, including new vendor setup, manufacturer onboarding, and credit application management.
- Source and negotiate with new suppliers to improve pricing, quality, and lead times.
- Oversee inbound freight strategies, optimizing logistics to reduce tariff and transportation costs.
- Support inventory planning, stock-level accuracy, and cost reduction initiatives.
Acquisitions & Corporate Strategy
- Conduct due diligence on target companies, including auditing books, analyzing financial statements, and assessing operational viability.
- Support integration planning, financial forecasting, and organizational scaling post-acquisition.
Vehicle & Asset Management
- Assist in fleet and vehicle purchasing, including contract reviews and cost analysis.
Compliance, Banking & Tax
- Manage all banking relationships, covenant reporting, and compliance for SBA and bank loans.
- Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax planning, filings, and financial audits.
- Maintain corporate compliance and regulatory filings across multiple states.
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably as a Controller, VP of Finance, or CFO.
- Auto parts, automotive service, or aftermarket parts industry experience is required.
- Experience with manufacturing, especially steel fabrication, is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency with Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Cin7 Inventory, QuickBooks Online, and general financial software tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial datasets.
- Experience in multi-location business operations and scaling organizations past $20M+.
- Proven success managing banking relationships, credit lines, SBA compliance, and tax coordination.
- Excellent communication skills—ability to present clearly to executives and sales teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

- Six-figure base salary, commensurate with experience
