SUMMARY
Frederick Fox, a leading search firm, has partnered with an industry leading insurance organization in their search for a strong VP of Finance and Accounting. In this role, you will be assisting the current Controller and CFO in overseeing Accounting and Finance functions, as well as assist the IT team in analyzing and implementing technologies to drive the organization forward.
This role requires that you already have heavy experience being involved in overall organization strategy (not just A&F ops), at least contributing to these conversations, if not making the decisions
Direct path to advance to CFO position within 5 years, at which time you’ll also inherit the IT dept, acting as CIO.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting Oversight
- General oversight of Financial statement process, including AP/AR/GL, reporting, close
- Team Management: assist with performance reviews, hiring, task delegation, etc.
- Create, test, maintain, internal controls
- Reinsurance Accounting
- Ensure compliance: Sarbanes Oxley, Statutory Accounting Principles
Financial Oversight
- Treasury management, including presentation of financial reporting to the board
- Cashflow and budget management
- Oversee and deliver projections
- Investment management
IT
- Assist with the analysis of new technologies to implement
REQUIRED:
- CPA or MBA in Accounting/Finance
- 12+ years’ progressive Accounting & Finance Experience
- 3+ years’ leadership of Accounting & Finance personnel
- Heavy experience being involved in overall organization strategy (not just A&F ops), at least contributing to these conversations, if not making the decisions
- Strong comfort with / background in technology (able to assist IT in analyzing tech to implement)
- Outstanding Communication

Pay: $180,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
