Purpose of the Position:
Working within a fast-paced team, you will provide fundamental administrative support to the Sales Operations and Client Development teams. Previous experience in an operational capacity within a relevant industry will prove to be a great asset.
You will work collaboratively with the Manufacturing and Logistics team to ensure the execution of a seamless client experience. Using your product knowledge and training, you will be responsible for providing clients with information and customer support for Soane furniture and lighting orders, all made to our clients’ individual specifications.
As you grow in experience, you will also be providing clients with orders and invoices. On the rare occasion any issues may arise, you will be responsible for sourcing information and providing positive resolutions for our clients.
The high quality of our workmanship and complex Manufacturing skills involved require strong attention to detail, both verbal and written, and an in-depth understanding of Soane’s designs, clients and client expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for clients, responding to customer service enquiries via email and phone in a professional and friendly manner.
- Liaise with Manufacturing and Product teams to confirm lead times and resolve client product queries.
- Provide accurate product, pricing, and order information to support clients and ensure a positive customer experience
- Prepare standard product quotations for client orders and clearly communicate options, costs, and timelines.
- Liaise with logistics & manufacturing to create accurate shipping quotations for customer orders.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding proforma invoices to support timely order fulfilment
- Record aftercare information, client feedback, and follow-up actions accurately for the business
- Update the Order Status Tracker on a weekly basis
- Maintain and update internal team manuals to ensure processes and best practices are clearly documented
- Assist the wider team with additional duties or ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications for the Position:
- At least one year of relevant customer service experience, ideally interior design or product design sector
- Competent using Microsoft packages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised and detailed-oriented with the ability to multi-task
