As we continue to scale, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and long-term growth.

The Role
As CFO, you will be responsible for leading Kara Healthcare’s financial strategy and ensuring strong, sustainable growth across the group. You will bring commercial acumen, strategic vision, and operational rigour balancing purpose and performance to drive profitability and reinvestment into exceptional resident care.
Working closely with the CEO and Board, you will help deliver our next phase of expansion, including new developments, acquisitions, and innovative funding strategies. You will also play a key role in embedding financial excellence across the organisation, ensuring every decision supports our mission to redefine what outstanding care looks like.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and reporting across the group.
- Provide strategic insight and guidance to the Board on growth, investment, and performance.
- Oversee cashflow, budgeting, and capital management, ensuring financial resilience.
- Support M&A activity, including due diligence, financial modelling, and post-acquisition integration.
- Ensure robust financial governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with operational leaders to enhance efficiency and commercial decision-making at all levels.
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team with a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Strengthen relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
About You
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader in health & social care, multi-site operations, or private equity-backed environments.
- Strategic mindset with strong financial, commercial, and operational understanding.
- Experience in business transformation, scaling, or turnaround environments preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
