Purpose of the Role
The Business Operations Manager will be the backbone of our day-to-day operations—ensuring smooth project delivery, improving internal efficiencies, and managing the operational infrastructure that supports our client work. You’ll have a hand in everything from resourcing and scheduling to process improvement and team support.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
People
- Determine staffing requirements (internal and external e.g., freelancer capacity)
- Recruit and train new team members
- Supervise team according to overall company policy
- Set employee goals and objectives
- Monitor team performance, including performance reviews
- Delegate work duties to the team
Projects
- Allocate use of resources to ensure on-time, on-budget execution of projects
- Monitor and assist the team with work progress
- Evaluate current project processes and systems
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
- Establish and maintain project controls
- Formulate department policies and practices
Performance
- Coordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency, including driving revenue
- Facilitate the preparation of reports and analysis
- Review performance data (cost, quality, customer service, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity and goal progress
- Responsible for the achievement of productivity and quality goals
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- Experience in managing a team
- Knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures
- IT and digital literacy e.g. experience with Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and automation tools such as Monday.com (or similar)
Desirable
- Experience in learning & development, training delivery, consulting, or design-led environments
- Experience in operations, project management, studio management or similar role (SME or creative agency experience ideal)
- A genuine interest in presentations, communication training, or creative services

Salary Range
£45,000-£50,000
We are open to this role being part-time for those who need more flexibility. Please note that this will impact the salary range.
